Mourn Identity:

So, turns out I didn’t make the ISRO test. That kinda hit me hard. I am still trying to come to terms with it. I don’t know about the job, but it would have felt nice just to have cleared the test. But that didn’t happen. So now, instead I have to feel like shit. I know I am no Electronics God, but I know my basics and I can work out problems. I sure was rusty when I attended the test, having put no preparation in and that’s my fault. (It can attributed to a few other reasons too, but that’s not nice. It’s better to just accept it that you failed yourself.) What this also means is that I might have to now take up my Software job. The one last straw of hope I was clinging on to, is gone. That’s depressing isn’t it ?

Project O2: (Which has nothing to do either with ISRO or O2 for that matter) 

Anyway, I have been given a project to work on. At least something to cheer about. It’s nothing great, but if I have to make it fully functional, I’ll have to work on it a bit. (Maybe not as much as my Final Year Project, but considerable amount of work.) The best thing is, I might get paid a token amount if I complete it properly and on time. So, I am trying to keep myself in better spirits.

Break (No, not the Big Break!!)

That means except for the IPL posts which I have time stamped (just one line dumb posts), I don’t plan to blog for a while now. I would like to kick myself instead for being an a-hole and not doing my test well. So much for my Rocket Scientist dreams. Damn it!! 

I am rooting for: Delhi obviously. Kings XI need to taste defeat.

I am supporting: No one really. I don’t care. I like Dravid. So maybe RCB. Not that it matters. They are definitely out and Rajasthan is anyway in.

I am Backing: A Sachin led Mumbai Indians.

I am supporting: Delhi Daredevils (who I am also supporting for the entire tournament)

Sanath Jayasurya finally got into the groove and came to the party. I suspect it had to do with Sachin being back in the side. Just the confidence you get when Sachin is batting at the other end, something Sanath himself openly accepted in the post match presentation.

Sachin might not have contributed much with the bat and may not have done anything extraordinary. But just having him back in the side gives them a boost.

Dhoni was trying to sound demoralised, but then the CSK lot are, and badly at that. While Mumbai have won their 4th game, Delhi lost their 4th straight game against Kolkata. Damn you Delhi. You have two guys opening for you who are the tournaments highest run getters and yet you lose 4 in a row. Unbelievable shit.

I read Hari’s blog after a long time yesterday (he hardly updates. But then he is not as jobless as I am.) and came across this post. A must read for everyone. So, I present you,

I have been watching a bit of IPL now that I am done with Engineering and have nothing else to do except sit at home. You know what ? The advertisements between overs is Irritating. At least if these advertisements were well made, you’d enjoy it till you got bored of it. But these advertisements just drive you crazy. I’ll tell you what ? Lets not have any more of these advertisement. We can have skimpily clad women dancing instead. Yea, yea, the cheerleaders.

However, here’s a list of silliest advertisements,

1. The Big Winner and by a clear margin that too- Coca Cola

I guess this is not on Youtube just yet. But it’s the worst advertisement ever. Seriously. I’ll put it up as soon as I get hold of it.

2. Hritikh Roshan in Cinthol - Does Papa Roshan have to direct your advertisements too ?

Godrej guys have lost it. Big time. Hritikh playing rugby is like the limit.

Can you believe this advertisement has a making of video on Youtube ? Is there no end to this ?

Don’t watch it. It’s a 9 minute video. Even if you have nothing else to do, don’t watch it.

3. Hritikh Roshan in Coca Cola

I actually have a lot to say on this, but I’ll stay quite, for the nowhere stated reasons.

Coca Cola is just not employing the right advertisement agency for their advertisements.

4. Godrej

Can’t find the video of this one either.

What, did you get spanked when you were in school ?

There are others too, but I am sleepy now and I cannot seem to recollect the others. When I do, I am going to write about it.
