In other news, my friend Vibushan appeared in a couple of newspapers. His project apparently is path breaking stuff. ( Talk about redifining the definition of path breaking.) But that’s not what we are going to discuss here. Here I present a couple of pictures one of which appeared in a vernacular newspaper and another which appeared in a national newspaper. Spot (just one) difference(s):

That’s the difference between vernacular and English newspapers. (If you could identify it that is.) That’s the difference you are subjected to when you choose a vernacular newspaper or a news channel in favour of a English news channel. (Not all though. Some English news channels are just as bad.) 

Oh, and congrats Vibu. It’s a huge deal and all of us (who know you and am sure who don’t know you (yet) are proud of you).

Ok, first things first. I wanted a T-shirt that read “FIve Point Someone”. Now that’s effed. No, it’s nothing to do with the T-shirt not being available or anything. And for that matter, it doesn’t even have to do with the Chetan Book. (That you might or might not have heard about depending on which part of the globe you are from. If you have heard about it and gave it a miss, you are excused.)

Now, this might seem silly, but it is to do with my Grade Point Average in my training. (On a scale of 5 of course and not 10). Shit happens. Unix happens. (Not that I have anything against UNIX personally. Just that it cost me my magical <digit>.<digit> score) And then all so slowly and agonisingly you realize that you can no longer wear that T-shirt. It will now have to read “Four Point Someone” and that’s no fun, now, is it ? (Even if you do manage to score on the higher side of 4.95 and naturally think it should be rounded off to 5.0. )

Now I will have to use certain library functions in conjunction with the GPA to make a T-shirt that reads something similar. Ok , enough random stuff for now. Got a 4 credit test coming up. I hope I don’t screw it.

It’s been a long (with number of l’s and n number of o’s) time since I posted anything on my blog. The last two odd months have been a mix of so many things. (More on that later) I have neither had the time to check comments on the blog nor read posts on others blogs.

I finally decided to come back home for the weekend. (That means monday is going to be nightmarish ) But with only about another month left for the training to get over, this was the best time to come home.

OK, I don’t even know what I am writing. This is what happens when you go from writing 2 posts a day to writing a post in two months. Some posts will follow and hopefully be more coherent.
