“Wear helmet” shows the real India
Nice one dude.
Welcome to India. We put up sign posts like this and beat people up or extort money out of them when they don’t follow rules.
It’s like typing “Cigarette smoking is injurious to health” on the inside of the carton.
I guess you would’ve noticed the “Cigarette smoking is injurious to health” on the inside of the carton coz it’s most prevalent in the hoardings we happen to see on the roadside. I’ve seen it once or twice.
You people are missing the other side of the board…it says “NHAI , welcome to NH45″
How do u rate this karthik???
No it kind of makes sense. What the authorities are trying to say is ” If you are going to do dangerous stuff like drive on the opp side, then atleast wear a helmet’ - its India allright.
Dude, this is just brilliant. It’s on the left side of the road, facing away from the road. It’s like they’re trying to hide the message. Like placing an old rusty No Parking sign under the garbage and then hiding it.
hiding it just so they can fine you.
@Rachel,
Err, what ?
@Gokul,
Again, what ? What’s NHAI ?
@Shiva,
You are thinking out of the helmet. That attracts a fine in India you know.
@George,
Now, why did you have to explain it ? Why ?
But yes, it must be one of those tricks traffic police adopt to make bakras of innocent people.
And, done.
Sorry! D: It’s just that I feel for all those people who I thought would go “I don’t get it.”
Why can’t your friends who took the picture send this one to the Hindu for that RMKV competition or something? They might win a prize for it. The pictures in your blog are really good one dude! That signal not working properly in the Besant Nagar area and this one, I am waiting for more pictures like these.
@George,
You know, actually, it’s alright. Very few people will bother to read the comments.
@Vinod,
Tell me you didn’t read the post on the Ayurveda Poster.
Actually there have been instances when I have wanted to photograph stuff, but haven’t been able to. This other day in Mylapore a board read “Go Striait”. But then if I had taken out my phone to photograph it, the cops would have fined me as it was a signal.
There was this bakery somewhere else (can’t recollect where), where I read “Egg less cake” But then didn’t want to risk it getting beaten up by those people.
Hey and what’s the deal with RMKV competition ? Got to check that out and let my friends know.
